Bubba and Alice for Saturday, January 6, 2001

Here's the payoff that the whole strip was building to. Of course, it was
obvious that one of them was Bubba and one Alice by the name of the strip,
but I didn't know what I was calling them back then. The line "No, you're
Alice" has less zing when you've known for the past 6 strips that someone
is Bubba and someone is Alice.
The shocked Alice in the last panel is great; the Bubba in profile is terrible, and I never tried it again to my recollection. Look at her horrible mutant arm! Good gravy! Straight-on only, please! |
